There is a single preacher working within the church but it becomes clear very quickly he is what is known as a fire brand preacher. Warning other of the lake of fire and fiery brimstone. Vincent runs, ducking behind alley after alley breaking off their line of sight whenever he can, the night is dark and makes it hard to see. Eventually he out runs the guards, he now stands in town wondering where he should go next.\n[[Continue|town2]]\n
Shepherdess tells Vincent to get the sage bell. All that is known about it's location is that it's by a nearby town named Ashbourne.\n\n[[Begin|Road1]]

As Vincent tosses over his purse he manages to pull 3 coins into his sleeve without being noticed. “Thank you kindly, and please enjoy your time at Ashbourne.” Vincent crosses the bridge and the bandit takes off after his comrades. Ashbourne is just a little further.\nMoney = 3\n[[Continue|gate]]\n

Vincent throws a punch and it lands square in the bandits face but he doesn’t budge. Before Vincent knows it he’s struck over the head with a club and knocked out.\n[[Continue|ko]]\n
“Not only handsome but a gentleman too!” Anne tells you of Lima Ranch, a ranch nearby that has a lot of rumours around it that they practice devilry. “That’s probably your best bet.” She explains. Vincent gathers a crowd and begins performing, people gather and the guards rush past looking to catch up to the now gone jester. After finishing the song and a round of applause he makes his way into the town center.\n[[Continue|town]]\n

Large stone walls with a raised gate and stationed guards checking people entering the town, Vincent has finally reached Ashbourne. Vincent tries to enter the town and is ordered to wait at the back of the line, when he tries to explain his mission nobody cares or listens.\n[[Continue|gate2]]\n
Vincent makes his way down the road with his lute, a coin purse with 10 silver, and some bread. As he travels he hears a bush being rustled, he freezes up and tries to decide what he should do but before he can act a sheep comes out. Vincent has a good laugh at himself for getting worked up but notices that he’s been walking for a few hours, if this sheep has made it this far already what about the others? “Nooooooo not the beer! Take me instead!” She giggles realizing what she just said. Vincent explains he is in love with another but if he didn’t that Anne could rest assured he’d snatch her up and elope post haste. Vincent makes it through the forest without incident and is close to the Ashbourne. All that separates him is a river with a bridge. When Vincent reaches the bridge he sees 4 men standing at the entrance of the bridge. 3 are armed while one seems to be being robbed. He could try fight them, or use another bridge though that would take aa bit of time, or he could just pay their toll.\nWhat should Vincent do?\n\n[[Go along the river and use another bridge|Detour]]\n[[Approach the group|bandit]]\n

Vincent run in between two men with their drinks in hand and begins singing with them a jolly song about seafaring. He sings loudly and the two have a good laugh and join in, the guards rush past and Vincent thanks them for their company. He then makes his way back to the town center.\n[[Continue|town2]]\n
The bar is empty except for the bar keep and his assistant cleaning up and setting up for the night rush. You ask about any rumours about a sage bell, the bar keep doesn’t know anything but mentions a woman who comes in every night who likes to call herself a story teller who talks about things like that.\n[[Head back to the town center|town]]\n
Vincent reaches the ranch and is approached by an older man. He introduces himself as Paul Lima. He explains that this is his ranch and his family works on it here. He asks if you were here looking for work or needed something else.\n[[Explain what’s happening|ranch2]]\n

Paul explains he used to be quite wealthy and misses his days around entertainers, his favorite type were riddlers and any jester should know. “If you pass my test you can have the bell for free. Vincent tries to ask him about any rumours about the sage bell but the man just waves him off and points towards the woman from sitting in the back of the room.\n[[Go talk to the woman|woman]]\n
“Hold it right there musician! Turn out your coin purse, we want your money not your life.” Immediately after the man being robbed dashes off and the two other bandits give chase. “See what you did? The tavern is bustling and Vincent can hear the people singing before he even opens the door. Vincent sees a woman sitting in the back talking to somebody else over a drink.
